Love is all we need
Ivy
Walker: When we are
married, will you dance with me? I find dancing very agreeable. Why can you not
say what is in your head?
Lucius Hunt: Why can you not stop saying what is in yours? Why must you
lead, when I want to lead? If I want to dance I will ask you to dance. If I
want to speak I will open my mouth and speak. Everyone is forever plaguing me
to speak further. Why? What good is it to tell you you are in my every thought
from the time I wake? What good can come from my saying that I sometimes cannot
think clearly or do my work properly? What gain can rise of my telling you the
only time I feel fear as others do is when I think of you in harm? That is why
I am on this porch, Ivy Walker. I fear for your safety before all others. And
yes, I will dance with you on our wedding night.
Robbie Turner: [voiceover] Dearest Cecilia, the story can resume. The one I had been planning on that evening walk. I can become again the man who once crossed the surrey park at dusk, in my best suit, swaggering on the promise of life. The man who, with the clarity of passion, made love to you in the library. The story can resume. I will return. Find you, love you, marry you and live without shame.
The Last of the Mohicans ; Cora & Hawkeye
Cora
Munro: They're
going to hang you. Why didn't you leave when you had the chance?
Hawkeye: Because what I'm interested in is right here.
Pride and Prejudice ; Elizabeth & Mr Darcy
Mr.
Darcy: Miss
Elizabeth. I have struggled in vain and I can bear it no longer. These past
months have been a torment. I came to Rosings with the single object of seeing
you... I had to see you. I have fought against my better judgment, my family's
expectations, the inferiority of your birth by rank and circumstance. All these
things I am willing to put aside and ask you to end my agony.
Elizabeth Bennet: I don't understand.
Mr. Darcy: I love you.

Mark: With any luck, by next year - I'll be going out with one of these
girls.
[shows pictures of beautiful supermodels]
Mark: But for now, let me say - Without hope or agenda - Just because
it's Christmas - And at Christmas you tell the truth - To me, you are perfect -
And my wasted heart will love you - Until you look like this.
[picture of a mummy]
Mark: Merry Christmas.
